Several MEGS workshop stations aired only NPR News I & II, covering News III, IV, and V with station-produced material This meant listeners had to wait about 50 minutes to hear a national and international news update. The MEGS team feels this gap is too long for listeners to go without such an important service.
We're happy to report that stations with this national news gap have either revamped or are in the process of revamping their clocks to include News IV at the bottom of the hour. This ensures that listeners don't have to wait more than twenty to thirty minutes for a national news update.
